【Abstract】 We have entered 21st century. It is necessary to reexamine the excellent traditional Chinese paintings which were covered with dust in long history. In Qing Dynasty,the eight odd painters in Yangzhou in ancient times held high flag of bring forth new ideas. They laid stress on the unity of personal character and paintings, they were bold in blazing new trails,they had their own style in painting and calligraphy,and they paid attention to all-round accomplishments on art.
