【Abstract】 The proposal of intertextuality renders a new dimension to translation studies. The author believes that the interrelation between the two includes two aspects:first,a good understanding of the phenomena of interexuality in the source text contributes to a good translation;second, translating in essence is an activity of intertextuality.
