【Abstract】 We research the effect of 1 # RE and FeSi75 as inoculants on melten iron with two grades of S contents. The result demonstrates that the 1 # RE is more effective than FeSi75 as inoculant to higher S content irons. A lowest critical S content about 0.035% is revealed for 1 # RE. Then a reasonable interpreation of RE inoculation mechanism is given. In the end, we discuss the relationship between the amount of RE inoculant and S content, and indicate that RE inoculating is sensitivity to S content.更多还原
