【Abstract】 Because WDM-based optical network carries huge amount of information, any fault and ineffectiveness will cause serious sequence. Therefore, it is very important to research on the network management of this kind of network. After the description of network management system structure and specific requirements of WDM -technology -based optical network, the transmission technology of networkoverhead-OSC is discussed in thispaper.
