【摘要】 明末清初耶稣会士汤若望 (AdamSchallvonBell,15 91— 16 6 6 )所制造和使用的窥筒远镜是什么样的光学仪器 ,已有人做出了一些分析与推测 .文章根据有关历史文献的记述 ,又在物理实验室做相关模拟实验 ,从而得出 ,汤若望的“窥筒远镜”既非摄影箱、亦非开普勒式望远镜 ,就其结构而言 ,它本质上是属于伽利略式望远镜更多还原

【Abstract】 There have been various conjectures on the kind of telescope produced and used by the Jesuit missionary Adam Schall von Bell(1591—1666) in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. Based on the accounts in historical documents together with simulated experiments conducted by the authors in a physics laboratory, we conclude that the said optical instrument was neither a camera obscura nor a Keplerian telescope, and that judging from its structure, it was essentially a Galilean telescope.更多还原
