【Abstract】 Steel billets without columnar grain in semi solid continuous casting is a newly developing technology in continuous casting. The steel billets obtained have excellent metalworking formability in continuous casting. The essential procedures consist of alloy melting, preheating pre crystalizer, melt stirring and oscillation, solidification and drawing.
