【摘要】 智能交通系统是一个跨学科、信息化、系统化的综合研究体系,主要介绍智能交通系统（ITS）的基本概念、主要功能、系统的基本结构以及ITS系统在国内外的发展现状,并提出一个基于SONET网络的ITS通信系统实现方案。

【Abstract】 Intelligent Transportation System is a synthesized researching system of cross-disciplinary, information, systematization. It was introduced the fundamental conception, main function,basic structure of ITS and its present situation at home and abroad. It was also proposed a solution of ITS Communication System resolvent based on SONET network.
