反铁磁系统(S=5/2)中外磁场诱导的相变
Phase Transition Induced by External Field in a Frustrated Antiferromagnet with S=5/2
【摘要】 讨论了在外磁场下自旋为 S=5 /2的反铁磁三角晶格的静态磁化率与温度的关系 ,当不存在磁场时 ,磁化率曲线在温度 TN1 处出现一个峰 ;加上外磁场时磁化率曲线又在 TN2 处出现一谷 ,在TN2 处的相变是由外磁场诱导的 .磁化率与外磁场的变化曲线存在一不连续区 ,对应实验上磁化率的 1 /3 (S=1 /2 )或 1 /2 (S=1 )平台 .
【Abstract】 The static magnet susceptibility versus both temperature and external field in the case of S = 5/2 was investigated. When the external field is absent, the temperature dependence of susceptibility has only one peak at T N 1 , when external field is applied, the susceptibility is bent upward at T N 2 < T N 1 , which indicates that the external field can induce the phase transition. The susceptibility curve versus external field is discontinuous, which corresponds to the 1/3(or 1/2) plateau in S =1/2 (or S =1) spin system.
