【Abstract】 It is a challenging task to design a video-on-demand server that can efficiently serve a large number of concurrent requests.One appoarch to accomplish this task is to reduce the I /O demand to the VOD server through data and resouce sharing technique.In this paper,the authors carefully investigate the basic I /O stream sharing techniques including batching,adaptive piggybacking,bridging and chaining and also introduce some recent development.更多还原
