【Abstract】 From January 1997 to March 2000, 20 individuals of Black shouldered Kite (Elanus caeruleus) were observed for 8 times on Hainan Island and in the coast region of Southern Guangdong Province. The distribution area of the Black shouldered Kite can be identified from Hainan Island through Leizhou Peninsula, including South and Southeast parts of Guangdong.
