Influence of Pb on Polyamine Level in Neonatal Rat Brain
【Abstract】 Neonatal Wistar rats were divided into the control group, low Pb group and high Pb group, and Pb 3(AC) 2 at doses of 0,20,60 mg/kg and respectively. The weight was measured, and the spedimine level of the brain was determined with the thin-layer-chromatography. The growth of weight in the control group was rapid, but in Pb-exposed groups was slow. Compared with the control group, the growth of weight in the high and low Pb groups was significantly lower after postnatal 5,10 days; brain weight and brain Spedimine were all significantly decreased; and the spedimine level and Pb exposure dose had negative relativity (r=-0.793, p<0.01). The data showed that the polyamine of brain was an useful index for the degree of Pb impairment.
