【Abstract】 Whether education can be a force of transformation or not is mainly responsible for its tendency to transcend or to adapt for the society. As for this matter, historical educationalists made different choices. Plato considered education a force to reform, while Aristotle regarded it as a service to maintain the status quo, both with a great many followers.
