【Abstract】 This paper describes the toxicity and harm of hydrogen arsenide. Hydrogen arsenide released unavoidably during electrowinning with copper electrolyte purified conventionally pollutes the environment seriously. Release of hydrogen arsenide can be thoroughly eliminated by controlling cathode potential during electrowinning, thus improving both environment and economic benefits.
