【Abstract】 Canada is a multi-lingual state with two official languages. This article represents an account of the usage of the official languages and ethnic languages in Canada as well as the evolvement context of Canada’s language policies. Language right is an important part of an ethnic group’s cultural rights, so, it needs not only the gurantee of language legislation but also the guarantee of the law of civil rights and the law of human rights. Because of the existence of ethnocentrism, it is an important matter requiring long-term attention for any multi-ethnic state to oppose language discrimination.更多还原
