【Abstract】 Usage of digital media has witnessed a tremendous growth during the last decades. As a new technique, data hiding and digital watermarking has been widely used in digital media and has a wide application prospect in many fields. This paper presents a review of the general framework and the properties of digital watermarking, also presents an overview of the application fields and embedding themes classification of digital watermarking.
