【Abstract】 Macro structure is the higher level semantic structure of a text. Since its proposal, this concept has exercised a great impact upon the construction and interpretation of text, and what is more important, it has provided the theoretical foundation for the exploration of sense relationship among linguistic items hierarchically higher than words and sentences.
