【Abstract】 Silica has excellent shock resistance and wave transmisivity. It is one of the most ideal materials for producing radome. But it has low strength. This paper dealt with researeh on gel -casting process of the silica fi- bre -silica ceramic composites, of which the tensile and bending strength can get more than 39MPa and 70Mpa re- spectively.
