【摘要】 计算光波导边界随机畸变产生的损耗有耦合波理论和边界散射理论两种方法 .该文以非对称平板介质波导为例 ,将这两种方法进行比较 ,发现虽然它们的原理不同 ,然而结果是完全相同的

【Abstract】 There are two different methods for calculating the loss of an optical waveguide with random surface roughness: coupled mode theory and surface scattering theory. Taking an asymmetric slab waveguide as an example, these two methods are compared and it is found that they are different in principle, but give the same results.
