【Abstract】 The Penjdeh crisis, brought about by the constant scrambling between Britain and Russia in mid-Asia and Near East, nearly pushed the two countries to the brink of war. Isolated diplomatically in Europe, Britain finally forwent the choice of war. Although the crisis was short-lived, it had a tremendous impact on British strategy on the middle and near East and straits policy.更多还原
