【Abstract】 The study was carried out on the life table of fruits of Chinese chestnut,Castanea mollissima, in Xinxian County, Henan Province under different conditions and at different level of management. Boring caterpillars (Lepidoptera) were found as the primary insect pests reducing the yield of chestnut. Boring weevils (Coleoptera:Curculionidae) were found as important pests in the old chestnut orchards in the mountainous areas. Empty burs was an important factor harmful to chestnut in the orchards without spray applying fertilizer boron.更多还原
