【Abstract】 Using switched beam smart antennas at the base station of a cellular mobile system can significantly reduce cochannel interference,increase cell capacity,improve signal quality.In this paper,the probability of cochannel interference is evaluated for a cellular mobile system using switched beam smart antennas operating in fading and shadowing.The outage probability,the number of channels in each cell,the protection ratio,the mean value and the standard deviation of cochannel,the beamwidth and sidelobe level of antenna arrays are taken as parameters in the evaluation.The results are necessary to analyze capacity improvement in cellular mobile systems.更多还原
