【Abstract】 In the development of American society during the 19th century,it was especially noticeable that the American government exploited the west.The American west is almost as large as China’s in area.It was a wild and uncultivated land and the United States was a weak nation in the world then.However,the exploitation of the west was accomplished in less than a hundred years.It greatly changed the features of American society and laid a foundation for the United States to develop into an economic power.The ways taken by the American government to exploit the west ,such as to sell land,develop communications,promote immigrants and so on,are still meaningful for the exploitation of Chinese west.更多还原
