【Abstract】 Extruder performance described as an extrudate flow equation, in which J. L. White’s screw elements characteristic constants A and B were introduced into the relation of an extruder capacity(volume/time) to the pressure increase across the elements and the(filled) length of the elements, was presented. The mechanisms and advantages of both injection and venting of steam to and from the barrel, were also presented to improve the head transfer efficiency in an extruder.更多还原
