【Abstract】 The quantity, shape, size and distribution of graphite in gray iron influences the properties of material. This paper quantitatively analyzed the distribution of graphite in inoculated gray iron by image analysis. It was found that the volume fraction of graphite is correlated well with the property of gray iron. Inoculated with inoculant Ⅵ which is the best of the seven inoculants, the gray iron with low chilling potential, low sensitivity to the thickness of casting ′s wall and a tensile strength over 250 MPa can be produced.更多还原
