【Abstract】 Due to need for grain and money for military purposes, the feudal rulers of South Song Dynasty had garrison troops and peasants opening up the wasteland between Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces, as well as in Jingxiang and along the Huaihe River valley, which was actually quite effective in strengthening the army along the borders, brought about a temporary peace for the government, and improved the agricultural economy along the border areas.更多还原
