【Abstract】 Water resource with unevenly spatio temporal distribution is scarce in our country. Reservoirs, which store and supply water, play a critical role in mitigating the contradiction between water demand and supply in industrial, agricultural and daily life usage. As hybrids of man-made and natural waters, reservoirs, characterized by their unique physical structures and hydrodynamics, differ remarkably from natural lakes in ecological processes, and have a rapid response to changes in watershed. Ecological characteristics of reservoir underlie the water quality management. The fundamental characteristics of reservoir ecosystem and the sustainable methods of water quality management are covered in this essay.更多还原
