【Abstract】 The rhizomatous grasses is an important plant type in grassland vegetation, it has a special development pattern. This paper gave the meaning and historical survey at first, then reviewed the advances and outcome of the rhizomatous grasses development physiology at home and abroad in recent 40 years.
