【Abstract】 This paper summarizes several methods of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) , illustrates their basic principles and points out their advantages and disadvantages. One cycle control, a nonlinear conrol technique, is introduced. Compared with other methods, its strongpoints can been seen. One Cycle Control responds rapidly, rejects power source perturbations, eliminates the steady state error and dynamic error between the control reference and the average value of the switched variable in each cycle.
