【Abstract】 In the present paper a new species belonging to the family Theraphosidae from Hainan Province, China, is reported under the name of Chilobrachys jingzhao sp. nov. Besides, the species Selenocosmia hainana Liang et al., 1999 is transferred to the genus Ornithoctonus, Ornithoctoninae. These species are described and illustrated in details including the new discovery of male of the species Ornithoctonus hainana (Liang et al., 1999). Specimens are deposited in the College of Life Sciences, Hebei University, China. All measurements given are in millimeters.
