【Abstract】 Zhu 1S, derived from a sterile plant in the F 2 generation of the cross of Kangluozao∥4342/02428 and developed by way of directional selection, is an early indica TGMS line with wide compatibility. Its critical sterility inducing temperature (CSIT) was low at about 23℃. Grown in Hunan Province, it had a long stable sterile period over 90 days. Zhu 1S had a good flowering habit and its outcrossing rate was over 40% in hybrid seed production. It can be multiplied in Hainan in winter or through cold water irrigation in Hunan with its selfed seed set more than 30%. The line had good combining ability with its hybrids showing strong heterosis in various yield trials.更多还原
