【Abstract】 In case of generator external short circuit, due to the transient error on current transformers, the braking current on percentage braking type longitudinal differential protection of generator might be lowered. If this effect is ignored, it is possible to cause a mal-operation on protection during external short circuit. For this reason, the paper discusses the method of calculation concerning the effect of braking current decrease by adequately increasing the maximum braking coefficient.更多还原
