【Abstract】 Historec stone structures are subject to many risks. Among them: air pollution and acid rain;unsatisfactory care are now impotent Many materials, such as waxes, inorganic compounds and synthetic organic polymers, have been used as stone protecting products. Investigations into the efficiency and durability of the stone conservation products under laboratory conditions and on building test sites indicate that there are a number of disadvantages and even risks during the many years of their application. In particular, treatment with some synthetic organic polymers is in many cases not useful,such as the question of durability and retreatment, the different rate of hygric swelling and shrinking etc. The mechanical properties of stone conservation products are being improved. A new method of stone protection products that involves biological inorganic layer(biofilm) that may meet the desired performance requirements is being researched in our laboratory.更多还原
