【Abstract】 Deals with one new species of the genus Plesiophrictus collected from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, named Plesiophrictus guangxiensis sp. nov. Measurements are in mm. Type specimens are deposited in Hunan Biology Research Institute. Its characteristics are as following: Holotype ♀, Paratypes 3♀♀,Rong Xian(22°54′N,110°31′E) Guangxi Province, Nov.30,1999, leg. ZHONG Zheng wen. Holotype ♀, total length 65.00, carapace 30.00×25.00, abdomen 35.00×24.00. Paratypes 3♀♀. Total length 57.00～63.00. This new species is similar to Plesiophrictus mahabaleshwari Tikader,1977, but it can be separated by: a) the body size is larger than the latter(total length 65.00∶22.00); b) the coloration of the abdomen of this new species grayish yellow but that of the latter is dark brown; c) the former’s copulatory duct is inverse funnel shaped but that of the latter is tubelike.
