【Abstract】 Nowadays the knowledge economy is spreading quickly, which predicts a new era of economy. This paper proves that the appearance of the knowledge economy will strengthen the need of society for higher adult education. Based on the backward development of higher adult education and higher education in general in Henan, it suggests that measures should be taken to speed up the development of higher adult education in Henan in order to face the knowledge economy.
