【Abstract】 It is well- established that geological structures control the occurrence of coal and gas outbursts most of which located near big or small faults. Presently three are no satisfactory solutions to the quantitative description of the complexity of geological structures and the definition of its relation to the proneness of outbursts. To solve this problem, coalfields were confimed, and a primary relation between the fractal dimensions and outbursts zones was discussed.
