涂层硼酸铝晶须对铝基复合材料界面与力学性能的影响
EFFECT OF COATED AIBO_w ON INTERFACE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ALUMINIUM MATRIX COMPOSITES
【摘要】 采用溶胶-凝胶氧化铝涂覆硼酸铝晶须方法改善挤压铸造晶须增强 6061Al复合材料的界面性能.对复合材料的界面观察表明. γ—Al2O3和 α-Al2O3涂层均可抑制尖晶石界面反应,而且涂层较厚时涂层效果明显.界面反应程度的差异也影响复合材料的弯曲性能和时效行为.界面反应越轻微,则复合材料的弹性模量越大、峰时效过程由于基体中Mg的较少消耗而推迟.涂层复合材料的弯曲断裂以晶须拔出为主,而无涂层复合材料的弯曲断裂以近界面基体断裂为主.与γ-Al2O3涂层相比、α-Al2O3涂层的界面改性作用更显著
【Abstract】 A sol--gel alumina coating method was used to modify the interfacial properties of squeezecasting aluminium borate whisker reinforced 6061Al composites. Interface observations indicate that the interfacial reactions have been hindered by both the γ-Al2O3 and or--Al2O3 coatings, and the controlling effect is better with an increase of the coating thickness. The difference in interfacial reaction degree affects the bending properties and aging behavior of the composites. The composite with less interfacial reactions has a higher elastic modulus, and its peak-aging process has been postponed due to less depletion of magnesium. More whiskers are pulled out from the fracture surface of coated composites, while in the uncoated composite the fracture generally originates from the near--interface region. On modifying the interfacial properties of the composites, the or--Al2O3 coating shows great advantages over the γ- Al2O3 coating.
