【Abstract】 The biochemical characters of anhydrobiotic entomopathogenic nematode S.carpocapsae BJ were reported in this paper. S.carpocapsae BJ entered into anhydrobiosis when its water content lost about 24% in SB high osmotic solution. The OD of esterase activity reached 0.085,which was a great difference as compared with control at 0.274. The content of carbohydrate, glycogen reduced 6.37% and 6.77% dry wt respectively,the content of trehalose increased 1.79% dry wt as compared with control.
