【Abstract】 The identity of ontology and methodology and the unity of reason in value and method are the important academic characteristics in China. The benevolence of Confucianism is not only the foundation for people, but also the method and intelligence for people. With regard to ontology, benevolence embodies such value as humanism, awareness of equality, and voluntariness. Benevolence, as the method for people, is a magic weapon for successful cause, the key point of which is the assistance with material, appeal to affection, and respect for personality. The intelligence of benevolence exists in the fact of thoughtfulness, considering others by exchanging position, and heartily benefiting others so as to become oneself.更多还原
