【Abstract】 This paper mainly reviews the developmental history of educational geography and it basic problems.Firstly,the concept of educational geogrephy.geographical environment. etc.are briefly introduced .Then the author reviews the hisrorical development of educational geogrephy and indicates out the characteristics of modem educational geography. It is a subject which studies Chinese educaticonl area system and the relationship with geographical environment.It is also an important branch of humanities geography and is the subbranch of culture geography.It has some characters. Such as area, edge,history,and society.
