【Abstract】 Based on the vector diffraction theory, the vector description of the far field diffraction at a plane aperture is derived, the comparison between the vector theory and the scalar theory is made, and the error and applicability of scalar diffraction theory is presented. The vector diffraction theory is suitable for the analysis of the diffraction of a small aperture at a large angle. As an example, the circular aperture diffraction is discussed in detail.更多还原
