【Abstract】 Modernization has been the topic in the course of a century’s Chinese history since the end of Oing Dynasty. The thought of the Chinese modernization is the basic recognition,choice and programme of the problem of modernization by the progressive Chinese intellectuals and "The traditional Chinese system combined with westernized methods and ideas"is the earliest mode of response to modernization for the Chinese intellectuals of modern times .The article is an attempt to probe the relationship between the two above mentioned and to de an afterthought for the cultural puzzle of the Chinese modernization. The relationship between the two has become a puzzling cultural problem representatively. Surpassing the split predicament of "the instrument ration"and "the value ration",searching for a healthy and complete road of modernization on which "scientific technolkogy"goes in harmony with "morality"and "efficiency"and "justice"are unified,undoubtedly,embody the advanced intellectuals’diligent exploration for the movement of the Chinese modernization and hardworking structures.更多还原
