【Abstract】 The paper details exsisting operational problems Liungstrm air heaters for boilers and the advantages of Spirally Corrugated tube type heaters, reports on the retrofit design of a Guixi Power Plant’s 125MW generating set’s Ljunstrm heater, analyzes the economic merits of the retrofit and the period for investment recovery and presents testing data of Guixi Power Plant after the retrofit as wall as on the energy savings.
