【Abstract】 Language quality is an important component of the comprehensive quality of postgradute students. Besides the general teaching principles to be followed, such principles as principle of practice, principle of purpose, principle of methodology, principle of high standard and principle of language learning sould be adhered to.In teaching a foreign language, stress must be laid on the character of the language as a tool and a means of communication, the character of the all round language ability, and the character of the ideology and culture in language teaching.
