【Abstract】 Ilex is the only genus in Aquifoliaceae in China. A comprehensive study of Ilex in Hunan is given, including the determination and the classification of the species and their distribution and ultilization. Then, 58 species of Ilex are made, and their types of geographic distribution are counted and analysed. Due to the complex and diversified landforms and the transitional position in the geography of Hunan, the different and varied floristic elements, i.e. the types of geographic distribution are converged. As a result, the native species of Ilex in Hunan are plentiful and more than in some other neighboring provinces, such as Guizhou, Hubei and Sichuan.更多还原
