【Abstract】 In this article,the desertified lands in northwestern region of Shanxi province are firstly reclassified with the view of ecological function and by using the land ecology designing method. A room dividing model for land ecology design has been presented. From desertification control angle, the region is divided into four ecology economy subregions with different land use directions and ecological constructive emphasis. They are productive, consumptional, protective and mixed types. Lastly,the four subregions are discussed in detail in several aspects as follows:the main contradiction of land use;land development direction; the emphasis of land ecological construction;present situation of land desertification and appropriate measures taken in desertification control. The article has come to some preliminary conclusions as follows: (1) It is feasible to use the ecology designing method in resolving desertification control problem; (2) The ecology function classification has much practical significance in desertification control in contrast with the nature classification and the desertification intensity classification; (3)Room dividing method has much micro implementation significance in contrast with traditional macro region dividing method, being the former laying stress on the land section sense based on the analyses of the interactions and coordinating regularity among the land sections; (4) The ecology economy division combines the comprehensive nature division and the land economy division in the man nature interaction, and gives consideration to land natural ecological construction and land resource development; (5) The analysis of the measures taken in land desertification control is the key to land ecology designing method, which has much directive guiding significance to basic implementational units in contrast with the strategic study of the development and use of land resources.更多还原
