【Abstract】 The chemical constituents and structural characteristic of montan resin separated from Liaohu montan wax show that montan resin could be used in manufacture of rubber tyre as polyfunctional ingredients. The experiments of inner layer cord rubber of truck tyre by substituting partially rosin and pine tar and uper rubber of tyre for agriculture machinery by substituting coumarone-indene resin with montan resin have been carried out. It has been confirmed that montan resin as solid soft-adhesive ingredients in the manufacture of rubber tyre has great potentialities.
