【Abstract】 A brief introduction of developing history of vacuum disconnec- tors is given. Characteristics, types and operation mechanism of the vacuum discon- nectors are analyzed. Mechanism of overvoltage in operation of the vacuum discon- nectors and protective measures are presented and concluded.
