【Abstract】 According to the degree of technological change and the nature of activities the changes tend to focus on, we divide the technology development activities into three types: core technology development, complementary technology development and technology improvement. On the base of detailed analyses of the characteristics and functions of the different types of R&D mode, we demonstrate the relationships of technology nature and R&D mode.
