【Abstract】 Variegation and chimerism generally lie in ornamental plants, but there remains considerable confusion in the meaning of these terms and the controlling mechanism. This article make a review on the mechanism of variegation and chimerism ,and introduce some unusual cases where variegations patterns are difficult to interpret.Discussion of the cultivar designation and nomenclature in variegated and chimeral plants and explaination of the reasons why the variagation leaves turn green are also made.更多还原
