【Abstract】 With the reform of professionalism advancing deviously, how to correctly understand the actualtheoretical connotation of professionalism is where the shoe pinches in deepening the basketball reform inChina. In this paper the reform of competitive basketball professionalism in China was studied completely andsystemically. The general character and essential of professional basketball, the social conditions of its production and development as well as the advantages and difficulties in the course of the reform of basketball professionalism in China were analyzed.
